Human and AI-Mediated Consumer Choice
This course explores why people buy, use, and stop using goods and services, and how artificial intelligence is changing the way they do so. Students examine the internal psychological processes and external social influences that shape consumer choices, together with a new actor in the marketplace: the AI agent that searches, evaluates, and purchases on the consumer's behalf. The curriculum bridges core behavioral theories with everyday marketing decisions and extends these theories to markets in which consumers delegate decisions to AI agents.
